Wake: A Novel by Anna Hope
I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.
This
book had an interesting perspective on WWI. It was about the post-war
experiences of three women of different ages and how they were dealing,
or not dealing with the losses they and those around them had faced. I
didn't feel connected to the characters by the end of the book. That may
have had something to do with the way the chapters jumped from
character to character. The book took place over five days but the
flashbacks gave you a broader perspective.
